APERO

I've been seeing the brand 'Apero' on instagram and wondered what it meant, so after some googling i  found that it is a french tradition to have an apero (alcoholic drink) before lunch or dinner. I mean who doesn't like a glass of rose before dinner? (or anytime for that matter)

My favourite purchase my US trip would definitely have to be my Givenchy logo pool slides.

I've had them on my wish list for a while but always found them out of stock online, I finally found them at Bloomingdales when i was in LA.

Not only are they stylish but they are so comfortable! Dare i say more comfortable then Birkenstocks.

How pretty are these earrings? I've got a bit of an earring addiction at the moment and have been thinking about getting another piercing above my current one. I got a piercing at the top of my ear in the cart liege when i was in Greece but it became too painful and hard to look after since it was in such an awkward location, so i let the hole close up. I'm thinking since it will be in the ear lobe it will be better, hopeful i can work up the courage soon and get it done.

Don't you just love that feeling when you have the perfect outfit planned? Thanks to a visit from Santa Claus i now have the most gorgeous dress for New Years eve. This shiny wrap dress from Bec and Bridge is one of those dresses that is timeless, I'm teaming it with some nude stroppy heels, gold beaded clutch and a star choker.

Speaking of Santa Claus i hope everyone is having an amazing christmas and getting very spoilt!

GREECE II

Santorini is famous for its stunning sunsets particularly at Oia (A small town on the island) and it doesn't disappoint. 

While in Santorini I..

- Had a swim at the Black and red beach 

- Had dinner overlooking the water and ate some tasty calamari 

- Did some wine tasting 

- Did some shopping in the beautiful boutiques and picked up some jewelry, souvenirs and scarfs.

- Watched the sunset at Oia and ate some gyros with the rest of the tourists

LACE

The other day I had my brothers university graduation and i wanted something special to wear for such a special occasion. After a lot of searching i found this perfect dress in David Jones, its Keepsake the Label, i was drawn to how it reminded me of Lover's lace dresses. I also got this cute croc effect clutch from Witchery to put with it.

 I never i repeat never, thought i would ever own or let alone want a puffer jacket, I always thought they were hideous and reserved for sports fans. But once upon a time i remember when skinny jeans were a horrifying idea (You can't wear anything other than bootlegs right?!). Things change and as soon as i saw this country Road quilted parka i had to have it, the fact that it felt like a cloud was a winner but the gold hardware just sold me. You really can't go wrong with black and gold its timeless and makes anything look good, even a puffer jacket apparently.

THE COTTAGE

RIPPED KNEES

It seems ripped knee jeans are all the rage this season and of course i had to jump on the bandwagon. I was unsure about how i would go having my knees out for the cold winter air but after spending the weekend down the south coast in the cold weather i didn't have any problems. 

GOLDEN

As I mentioned in my last post I just bought the Hourglass modernist eyeshadow palette in Obscura, so I thought it was only fitting that I showed you a look I created with the beautiful shades. 

I love the shades in this palette, they are lovely warm tones, smooth and so pigmented. In this look i used 3 of the shades, the darkest shimmering brown shadow all over the eye and on lower lash line, then i used the darkest matte brown shadow for the outside corner of the eye and along the lower lash line and finally the light beige shadow for blending around the crease and on the brow bone. 

I really can't stress how buttery they are and you don't need much on the brush, I am in love with this palette so much and i'm already considering buying the infinity palette too!

My Philosophy when it comes to getting dressed is less is more. You can never go wrong with black, white and stripes. I don't get a chance to post personal style photos very often because I'm usually running late when i get dressed but i'd really like to try and post as many as i can. 

This was my first time wearing these pants, they were so comfortable and flowy i felt like Grace Kelly on a yacht in the French Riveria. This top also complements them perfectly, its not too long and not too short and i wish i had a photo to show the cross over back detail. I finished it all off wearing my new favourite Senso sandals.
